CMIT Families, the PGCPS Board of Education is reaching out to hear from us once again. Join us on Thursday, May 29 to share our thoughts on charter school funding.

(1) Ensure Transparent, Proportional Revenue Sharing
Charter schools should receive a fair share of public funding, including Title II, Title III, Fund Balance, and other local allocations, consistent with traditional public schools.
(2) Align SPED Cost Transfers with SPED Funding
If charters are asked to carry special education overages, they must also receive the corresponding revenue directly so that they can meet students' needs responsibly.

That the PGCPS Board of Education to collaborate with all Charter School operators to hear from them their concerns about funding - in progress
That the PGCPS Board of Education equitably apply SPED overages to Charter Schools - DONE!
That the PGCPS Board of Education maintains the 2% cap on administrative overhead expenses charged to Charter schools - DONE!
That there be transparency in funding and revenue share calculations - in progress

Please consider testifying to the Board of Education on behalf of Charter schools across the county by following these steps:
[1] Complete this Google form to register to testify: Google Form. This closes in advance of the meeting. The form opens 4 days prior to each meeting.
[2] If you are submitting pre-recorded video or written testimony, you can email it to testimony@pgcps.org
[3] Meet us at the meeting in your spirit wear, orange, blue or green.
Join us at the next PGCPS Board of Education Working Meeting as we appeal to the Board and communicate our concerns. YOUR PRESENCE MATTERS
We suggest you arrive around 6:30pm to park and walk in.
